Our waiting period was waived, so I may now share what you have all been waiting so patiently for.... Here are a few of my favorite pictures so far...

Adoption Time Line

Dec 23, 2012- Al tells Lisa he wants to adopt- she is thrilled

Dec 28, 2012- Preliminary Application Made to Bethany

Jan 2, 2013- Preliminary Application Accepted

Jan 17, 2013- Formal Application Complete

Feb 8, 2013- Pre Homestudy Application Complete

Feb 21, 2013- Attend Bethany Adoption Informational Meeting

Feb 27, 2013- Pre Homestudy Meeting at Bethany

April 22, 2013- First Homestudy Meeting at Home

May 3, 2013- Second Homestudy Meeting at Bethany

May 10, 2013- Final Homestudy Meeting at Home

May 14, 2013- Receive Updated Information On You

May 15, 2013- Submitted Letter of Intent

June 18, 2013- Homestudy DONE!

June 21, 2013- Homestudy Received

June 21, 2013- i800a Mailed

July 12, 2013- Biometrics Appointment Received

July 15, 2013- Biometrics Completed

August 19, 2013- Medical Expedite Letter Sent

August 20, 2013- Assigned Case Manager and 797 mailed!

August 23, 2013- 797 Arrives! All Dossier documents dropped off to be Appostilled

August 26, 2013- Dossier mailed to Michigan

August 30, 2013- Dossier mailed to Lithuania

September 22, 2013- Application with Adoption Services

October 3, 2013- Email Referral

October 17, 2013- Official paperwork arrived and Acceptance sent

October 18, 2013- i800 mailed

October 23- i800 processed and sent to Case Manager

October 27- First email and pictures sent to twins!

November 4- i800 arrives and is approved!

November 22nd- Article 5 is released at US Embassy and Court Date applied for

November 25th- Court Date set for January 7, 2014

November 26th- Airline tickets purchased!

January 1- Leave USA headed for Lithuania!

January 2- Arrive in Lithuania

January 3- Meet twins for the first time!

January 7- Go to court and petition to have the Waiting Period Waived

January 8- Waiting Period is waived!! They are OURS!

January 9- Good-bye Party for Twins- they leave orphanage!

January 10- Apply for Passports/Get TB Test

January 13- Get Passports/Pass TB Test/Apply for Visas

January 15- Pick-up Visas

January 16- Fly Home and Twins Become American Citizens at Touch-Down in DC!
