Bonding

We chose to bring Adeline and Alden on this trip with us for many reasons- the key one being that we wanted them to bond with the twins as quickly as possible.  We also wanted them to see what the Baby House was like, what Lithuania is like, and to experience all of this change with us.  Thankfully it has been a fairly smooth process- mostly thanks to my amazing sister, Rebecca.  Having the weekend without any appointments, and simply playing together, has been precious.  Life is simple and we are enjoying it!  Don't get me wrong, we are very excited about going home and having more room, having a washer AND a dryer, having more than 3square foot of counter space!

Stickers- she loves them!
The bath tub- the twins LOVE it.  They ask for a bath about 200 times a day.  At the Baby House they got one bath a week, so I guess I have some time to make-up for!
Asher doesn't need water to enjoy the tub- he had a ball playing in the empty tub!
3 kiddos playing in the tub!
We gave the twins their backpacks and water bottles- they loved them!  Asher is a HUGE drinker- he will drink anything you give him- and not stop drinking it until it is gone.  At the Baby House they saw Adeline and Alden's water bottles and were SO excited to have their very own!

I brought with us several boxes of Mac and Cheese- I figured it would be an easy meal that most of us would enjoy.  We added hot dogs- which is one of the largest sections at the grocery store- 1 very full section full of every imaginable variety of hot dogs!  The twins inhaled the Mac and Cheese, the hot dogs, and the ketchup- the ketchup was a side dish to them as they scooped it up and ate it!  They also inhaled the veggies- cucumbers and peppers.  They love their veggies!

Ketchup as a side dish, not a condiment!
Bedtime has become a bit dicey- Annalise does NOT like to go to bed.  We have tried to use movie time to calm everyone down after diner.  Due to their poor vision, watching movies has not held either twins attention- I think they simply cannot see.  This night though, Annalise and Asher sat and watched Ice Age!

After baths, we gave them ice cream- Asher was not a fan at first- too cold.  He typically gobbles up all we give him, and ice cream you simply cannot gobble up without getting Brain Freeze.  After a little break, he went back and ate his ice cream- he was a fan of it then!  The other 3 kids are their ice cream so quickly I didn't have a chance to get a picture!

My 4 loves!  Yes, Asher is brushing Addie's hair
The next morning we pulled out some play-doh and the kids had a blast!  Alden, who has struggled a bit, finally had fun with us all, and it really helped him turn this corner!

Stickers- both girls love stickers!  Some sweet friends gave us 2 huge books full of stickers that we brought with us.

Look at how methodical Annalise is!
Asher put on his shoes, coat, and Mommy's hat- and the Baby House said he couldn't do those things!

This is the Fab 4 at breakfast- we were celebrating that they all were in bed before 9pm and slept through the night!!  Asher has been waking up around midnight with a bloody nose, and his screaming as woken up Annalise, and then it takes over 2 hours to get everyone back to bed.  Needless to say, we were ALL much happier and rested- what a perfect way to start off a Monday full of important appointments!
