Passports and Drs Appointments

Once in Vilnius, the end of the paperwork is finally in sight- and so is going home!  The 3 main things that need to get accomplished are 1)Passports, 2)Physicals and 3)Exit Visas.

After baths at the new apartment, Elona, our in-country facilitator picked us up in a taxi and zipped us off to the passport office.  I wish America could take a few notes on how awesome this office is!  It was clean and efficient!  There was an area for the children to play in while we waited.  Sadly, our first visit there ended in us not applying for the passports- someone in the twins birth city had pushed the button and changed Annalise's last name to Perreca but not Asher's.  Elona made a call, and it would be fixed, but not until the next day.

So, off we went to Maxima (a grocery store/small shopping area) and had physical and visa pictures taken (yes, they need pictures for their physicals).  The twins were perfect- simply perfect.  They were so mesmerized by the people, the sights- a hair salon had a fish tank which they sat and just stared at for a long time!  They sat and took their pictures like pros- how amazing!

The next morning, Elona picked us up again early, and off we went to the Dr. The twins needed a physical and a TB test.  I didn't get any pictures during this, but they were both super good and chatted up a storm with the nurses, doctor and Elona and Goudah (another rep from our lawyer's office who helps just like Elona).  There were only tears during the TB test since it was done the old-school way and I know from personal experience it HURTS!  Thankfully I was prepared and had mini-candy-canes which quickly stopped their tears.

Once done we headed home for some lunch, playtime, and then off to the mall!
