It is a custom to have a Going Away Party, especially for children who have spent so much time at the Baby House. We were honored to throw such a party.
Al drove from Vilnius to get us, stopping in the twins town- about 20min outside of Siaulia, to drop off the necessary paperwork to get new birth certificates, and then coming, picking us up, checking out of our apartment, driving to Iki (grocery store) to pick up the party supplies, and then headed to the Baby House. It was so surreal to know that the twins were officially and totally ours!
Everyone was sitting in their spots, waiting for us when we arrived. They all enjoyed the cake, orange juice and tangerines- we saved the candy canes we brought for them to give to them another time!
It was nice to be with all their little friends- some of them have been together since they were 1, at least that is what I think looking at some group baby photos. We did get a photo album of pictures of both the twins as babies- SO precious!

Here are the sweet, sweet, children who are a part of their Groupa. I would love to bring them all home with us. I will continue to pray for these sweet children and that they have families soon.
